Actephila foetida (Phyllanthaceae)

This supposedly uncommon rainforest understorey shrub was flowering at the Cairns Botanical Gardens. The leaves have a heart-shaped base and the leaf stalks were slightly purple. The cream coloured flowers were quite striking against the rather dull foliage. Advertisements
